Spending Spare Time Wisely
Hey Guys !
DO's
So recently I have been feeling a little "down"; because of my ankle I am unable to do much of anything. Normally I always have something active after school, but because I am unable to participate, I have found myself with a lot of spare time.
Now I know most people would "kill" to have some extra free time, but I have been struggling to find useful / enjoyable ways to spend my time...
So I thought I would share with you my top 5 Do's and Don'ts when it comes to staying busy and feeling motivated...
DO's
1. Find a new hobby - my main hobbies are all physical activities like dance and hockey. But when I found myself with extra time on my hands I started to work on some other things like drawing and Playing the piano. Doing things like this (instead of watching the TV) breaks up the day and allows you to relax.
2. Reading- I know that reading isn't always for everyone... But it can make a real difference if you just make time to switch of your phone and just enjoy reading in a quite, and peaceful place.
3. Take care of yourself- if your anything like me then you'll understand how hard it is to find time to treat yourself. Why not take advantage of the situation and spend some time painting your nails etc.
DON'Ts
4. Avoid eating to much unhealthy food- eating lots of bad foods can really affect your mood, instead try things that will give you a bit of a healthier energy boost like fruit.
5.Avoid staying on your electrical devices for too long - staring at the screen of your iPhone or Computer for too long will not help your eyes, the light from screens worsens your body's ability to produce the hormone that makes you sleepy.
I hope you find these tips helpful...

Christmas Gift Ideas
Hey guys!
Christmas is fast approaching and I thought I would help you
think of gift ideas. I think the best gits are normally the ones that are
personal, all of the things I am about to show you are more or less just a starting
point, you can adapt these ideas to suit the person you are buying for.
You need to think of their interests, their hobbies, what
they use a lot… If they use something all the time (for e.g., Headphones) then
maybe you could think of getting them some good quality headphones or something
related.
If you’re still stuck with what to buy somebody, think of
what they do, imagine a day in their shoes, and then think how you could
improve it.
I hope these ideas inspire you and let me know who you are
buying gifts for in the comments.
I’m gonna work my way through the collage…
Starting with the earphones: I kind of already explained
this in my example before, but I think that earphones (or headphones) are a
really good present to buy – they come in all different designs, and the prices
can range to a couple of pounds to over £100! This means that you can get them
for almost everyone, just make sure that the earphones will fit the person and
that they are compatible with the devices they use.
Next is the mug: mugs
are a great gift, again they come in a variety designs and they have a range of
prices. I personally think that personalized mugs are a great gift for parents
(assuming they drink from a mug), find a nice picture of you with them and then
write a personalized message, these types of gifts are actually really easy to
order, there are a number of different websites that offer personalized gift
printing. I recommend Moonpig.
The Nail polish and lip gloss sets: these items are great
for anyone who likes make up. The sets
are normally in gift-like a packaging which a bonus but buying a set means that
you don’t have to worry too much about your choice of shade or color. Perhaps
try and find out if they have a favorite brand and see if that brand does a
set of something. I would however be cautious of buying any make up sets that involve
choosing foundation colors as it can be very hard to guess somebody’s shade.
Perfume: perfume is a classic gift. I personally recommend
the perfume that is in the collage – DKNY Paris; it smells very sweet and fresh
and lingers well. I also put a picture of my favorite Hollister body spray, Hollister
also make body lotions and body washes, and they all smell really great.
Vinyl or CD: Although CDs and Records seem well outdated;
they seem to be making a come-back. I have noticed stores like Urban Outfitters
now selling Vinyl of albums such as AM by Artic Monkeys and many more modern
artists. If you know somebody that loves music and has a record player then
this would be a really fun gift.
Ben & Jerry’s: I put B&Js on the collage for an
example I’m really just referring to buying somebody their favorite food. If
you know somebody that is obsessed with a certain type of food, then buying
them some themed merchandise or even just a hamper filled with their favorites
is a really great gift idea. You also have a lot of control when it comes to making
up a hamper of gifts; it allows you to control exactly what you’re buying and
how much it costs.
Phone Case: again phone cases are a really great opportunity
to make a personalized gift. They can be easily customized with pictures and
text.
And last but not least… the LUSH gift box: LUSH do amazing
pre-packaged gifts. Not only do they come in amazing packaging, but there is a
range of them to choose from – varying in size, price, product type… - These
are great little gifts for anyone that loves bath time.
I hope you all have a Merry Christmas, or enjoy whatever you
celebrate!

Broken Bones
Hey guys !
So some of you guys may or may
not already know that I play hockey. And sadly I broke my ankle at the game we
were playing on Saturday. After going through the long process of getting my
ankle checked out in A&E they confirmed that it was broken and I now have
to wear a “moon boot” for support, and I have to use crutches and a wheelchair
to get around. They said I would be in the boot for “a while” and that
eventually everything should go back to normal, but that in the meantime I should
take the painkillers they prescribed to me.
When most people think of
crutches they think of having fun and being able to swing about and try all
sorts of cool tricks… and that is true – when you’re using them without an
injury- but let me tell you trying to walk using crutches with a massive boot
on (not to mention the fact that my ankle is very sore) is not easy; And it’s certainly
not fun. Although I don’t really enjoy all of this, I actually consider myself
quite lucky, it could have easily been much, much worse, I could have needed
surgery, a cast… and I have to remember that there are people out there who
would be so happy to have the ability to walk at all.
Now that you have some idea of
what is wrong with me I thought I would share some of my thoughts on this experience
so far-
I have been absolutely devastated
that I am now unable to dance in my dance schools yearly performance. I have
been in this show since I was at least 6 and this is the first year I will have
to miss one since joining the school. I am still going to help my friends out
behind stage when I can… but more than anything I want to be on stage with
them.
It’s my school’s Christmas Dance
on Tuesday. I am going but I will be impressed if I can make it through the
entire night. Obviously I am unable to participate in much dancing, but I hope I
can make do. In the end I think it will be fun, and I’m kind of looking forward
to attempting to “pull of” a dress with a moon-boot on.
My main focus is to try and
remain positive throughout this experience; I know that eventually my ankle
will get better. And I hope that this experience will allow me to appreciate
the little things in life more.
A New Beginning
Hey guys!
Welcome to my blog. Some of you may already know me from my YouTube channel,or from some of the blogs I have had previously.
I have stopped uploading YouTube videos for a while, because I am waiting until I can get the equipment I want to edit and film my new videos. But in the meantime I thought I would try and use this blog.
I plan to upload new posts, whenever I have the time and inspiration. My posts will probably be about Fashion, Beauty and Fitness, but I also plan to upload some lifestyle posts.
I hope you all enjoy reading my blog. Please take the time to share it xx
